You will now be able to see all of your other friends who are currently using the feature. Each will be listed by location, showing their physical distance between you. The closest friends will be shown first and will be accompanied by a Facebook Messenger button which you can use to open up a chat with them.
First off, on new emoji features - the main addition here is a new emoji search bar at the top of reaction picker panel, which will enable users to quickly search for the emoji they want to add by entering a search term.

As you can see here, enter 'Taco' and the taco emoji shows up. That could actually be a very handy update - rather than having to swipe through, squinting at the tiny images on screen, trying to find just the right one, now, you can enter a keyword search and get to what you want even faster.
Though it may also depend on usage. If no one's overly interested in customizing their chat backgrounds, then there won't be much value in it, so Facebook is likely using these initial projects as a test of sorts to get some idea on potential take-up.
3. The left sidebar will flip to show you all your archived chats. Click on any of them to see the conversation, but note that sending a message will move the chat back into your regular inbox.
Facebook chat is the social networking site's instant message feature that enables friends to communicate with each other in real time. After your chat conversation is finished, Facebook automatically saves a copy in the messages application. Look back on old conversations by visiting the thread of messages with a particular friend, which contain both regular email messages as well as chat conversations.
Click the name of the friend with whom you were having the chat conversation in the list of message conversations. To find a specific friend or a conversation by its content, enter search terms in the "Search Messages" bar at the top of the screen.
Scroll down the conversation to find the chat portion you're seeking. All messages have a date stamp at their immediate right, and chat messages can be identified by the talk bubble next to the date stamp.
You've undoubtedly heard of artificial intelligence (AI). And this is a type of AI. Natural language interface is common in most chatbots, but by opening up the Messenger Platform and providing developer tools like the bot engine, Facebook has made building an intelligent bot easier.
Users are able to search for companies and bots inside Facebook Messenger by name, so you'll probably get some users that way. But, as with any new pathway into your company, you're likely to find that adoption of this communication channel within your customer base won't happen without some promotion. Facebook is trying to make that easier for businesses and organizations as well.
Messenger codes are unique images that serve as a visual thumbprint for your business and bot on Messenger. If you are familiar with Snapchat codes, these visual cues act in the same way, redirecting anyone who scans them using Messenger to the corresponding company page or bot.
Traditionally speaking, a knowledge base is a section of your website that organizes all the resources and information a customer would need to properly learn and solve problems related to your product. And sometimes, these knowledge bases can be cumbersome or hard to search through. A Facebook Messenger Bot is one way to better educate customers who have questions about your product.
If your customer service team has more incoming requests than they can handle, it might be because they're only taking them through the phone. Live chat bots can open more request lines, lower call volume, and allow service and support representatives to balance more questions at a time.
A shortcut to read Facebook messages without the messenger app is to Facebook messages to your home screen. In other words, the bookmark will give you direct access to pinned chats, skipping the Messenger.
It allows users to monitor other social media apps and messages apart from Facebook. It works for Instagram, Telegram, Tinder, Snapchat, etc. It also provides location data along with the incoming messages.
Are you wondering how to search text messages on your iPhone or iPad to find a specific conversation? We can help! We'll cover how to search through your messages on the iPhone and iPad using the Messages app, search Facebook messages, and search WhatsApp chat. Fortunately, most messaging apps make your text conversations searchable. Let's dive in!
You can search your iMessages and SMS messages directly in the Messages app. This is the easiest way to do it, although I'll cover one other search method. The screenshots below are taken on an iPhone, but the process is the same on the iPad. Here's how to search text messages:
In older iOS versions, the search function was inadequate, but it has been upgraded and now allows you to search multiple relevant conversations. However, you can also search the Messages app without ever opening the app itself by using your iPhone's search function.
Pro Tip: A nice feature of iMessages search is the ability to go directly to the phrase you're looking for within the conversation. To learn more about your iPhone, like how to save an image as a PDF, sign up for our free Tip of the Day newsletter.
Now you know how to search for messages on your iPhone! Keep in mind that you can only look through present messages, which means if you've deleted a message, it will not show up when you search. If you are wondering how to search for messages in other apps, we will break down how to search for messages in Facebook and WhatsApp below!
Some people ask if you can search iMessages by date. Unfortunately, there is no good way to do this on iPhone or iPad at the moment. But your messages should be listed in order by date sent or received so that can help you narrow down your search.
Just like with iMessage, if you click on a result, it will take you directly into that part of the message. Facebook Messenger search does a great job of looking through message threads from all time, including individual and group conversations and messages that were archived.
WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps on the iPhone. WhatsApp is generally considered to have the best search on the iPhone by reviewers, and like Facebook, it highlights the term you're looking for, so it's easy to find in the thread. As with the other two messaging apps we've mentioned, if you've deleted the message, it won't be available for search. However, if you archived the message, the search will work.
1. Once you tap or click on a GIF in browse/search, it will send immediately. There is no confirmation pop-up. It won't ask you if you're sure you want to send that GIF. So, be careful!
To post a GIF in your own Facebook status post, on the mobile app, just start typing to create a post. Below, you'll see a list of options, including GIF. That'll bring up a search window just like in Messenger. On desktop, when you create a post, you can click the icon with three dots to see options including GIF.
As a final attempt, you can check two more places. If you know some of the content in the messages, search your email inbox. This method will only work if you have email notifications enabled on Facebook.
Open a chat with a friend, then tap the More button (four dots in a square) in the toolbar above the text field, and select Location. You may have to allow access to your location. From there, send your current location. Your friend will immediately get a map showing your exact location.

Tap the nickname, colour, or emoji options to customise the look and theme of the chat.

Sometimes it's just easier to say something rather than typing it up. To send a voice message, simply tap and hold the microphone to the left of the text field on your chat. Once you start a message, it'll send when you stop holding the microphone, but you can drag it away to delete it. Anyway, say what you're too lazy to type, and then lift your finger to automatically send to the chat. 2ff7e9595c
